I had been counting down the days until I could see the live show. When I first saw the video a few months back, I couldn’t believe such a collective could happen in real life. I loved Jesse Boykins III, I loved Melo-X, I LOVED Mara Hruby, I loved Josh Bennet, and then I was introduced to these other amazing talented beings. I couldn’t believe that artists who I used for inspiration everyday would somehow find each other and let alone, produce something as epic as this…of course i jumped at the chance to experience them

I brought Taylor along with me and met up with my love Najee at the show and it was just magical. We went early for the Q&A portion and my heart wouldn’t stop beating. All of these artists were so fashionable and well put together it was like we went back in time! The second Mara Hruby walked in the room she took my breath away. I’ve never been in the presence of a woman with the ability to do that! She looked as if someone plucked her right out of the 40’s and delivered her to us as what a classy, elegant, well-poised woman is supposed to look like. Her presence left me speechless and I just couldn’t believe someone so young could be so…i don’t even know. i haven’t processed fully.

But the show.

Everyone brought their “A” game. Joekenneth (10chacters1wordnohypensorspaces) blew me away. His (supposedly hidden talent) is undeniable. Mara was nothing short of spectacular. So humble, gracious and delicate on stage. Melo-X…haha. That man tore the house down. He had EVERYONE dancing. “girl ya know me love you like some jerk chicken” I can’t wait to see him again one day. And then Jesse…this night was years in the making. I’ve tried over and over again to see Jesse so to finally do it…was amazing. He sounds so amazing live (not that i expected otherwise) but i got chills during “Prototype.”

Man, Street Etiquette, Thank you. I couldn’t have asked for a more perfect night. This was just…a dream come true.

just finished making Superman a CD before I take off. It’s pretty awesome and chill. Pretty much consists of the stuff I’ve been vibing to lately…the gambino at the end is pretty random but i had to get it to him somehow and this was easiest! either way, i’m jammin’ right now as i finish this final paper! :)
